Make a gift to Elizabethtown Community Hospital
Elizabethtown Community Hospital has been dedicated to meeting the health care needs of the community. When you make a gift to the hospital, you are investing in the health and wellbeing of your community.
Donations are used for new equipment and renovations, and to help us continue to provide a warm and friendly environment for our patients.
As a not-for-profit hospital, all gifts are tax deductible and all dollars earned are invested into the hospital for facility improvements.

Types of Gifts
Gifts can be made in the form of cash, credit card, stock transfers, real estate, planned gifts and more. If you would like more information on how to make any of these gifts, please contact, Director of Community Relations at 518.873.3003.
Gifts in memory of a special family member or friend are often made to the hospital. A letter is sent to the family of this special person notifying them of your generosity. When sending in a memorial gift, please include, your name and address, who the gift is in memory of and the name and address of who you would like to be notified of your gift (the amount will not be stated).
One way to honor a special friend or family member is to make a gift to the hospital in their honor. The honoree will be notified of your generosity. When sending in an honor gift, please include, your name and address, who the gift is in honor of and the name and address of who you would like to be notified of your gift (the amount will not be stated).
Many organizations have a matching gifts program for their employees who make charitable donations. This is an easy way to double or even triple your donation, depending on your company's policy. Ask your company if they have a matching gifts program and how you can take advantage of increasing the impact of your gift.
Contribute to the Auxiliary
In 1946, a group of 47 local women joined together to form the first and still active Auxiliary for Elizabethtown Community Hospital which opened in 1926. Their mission was to help keep the hospital in operation.
Today, the ECH Auxiliary continues its support of the hospital. Over the past 50 years, the Auxiliary has raised tens of thousands of dollars to improve the patient experience. This support has touched nearly every patient and staff member who has been at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
Since 2009, this group of dedicated volunteers has raised more than $125,000 for the hospital through raffles and fundraising events like the Annual Doc Lopez Run for Health and Dinner@8.
Membership is open to all who are willing to donate their time and talents. Join monthly meetings – the first Wednesday of each month – to help plan and coordinate fundrasing events and projects. Members are welcome to participate in one or all projects throughout the year.
Being a member of the Auxiliary is fun and rewarding. Members help raise funds which go towards the purchase of hospital equipment and the beautification of hospital grounds, and sponsor health clinics and screening programs.
If you would like to become a member of the Elizabethtown Community Hospital Auxiliary or would like more information on volunteering, please call (518) 962-4049 or (518) 873-3003.
Volunteer opportunities range from answering phones to visiting with patients and helping the nursing staff. Volunteers may also choose to be part of the auxiliary and work on special events and fundraisers throughout the year to benefit the hospital.
