39th Annual Doc Lopez Run for Health Accepting Sponsorships
Elizabethtown, N.Y. (February 4, 2019) – University of Vermont Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital’s auxiliary is accepting sponsorships for its upcoming race event. The Doc Lopez Run for Health is taking place on Saturday, March 23 and features a half-marathon, 5K and 1-mile walk.
Contributions in the form of a corporate sponsorship will help fund many of the race day requirements: transportation for the participants, post-race meals, snacks, timing, awards, and more.
The Doc Lopez Run for Health takes place throughout and between the communities of Keene Valley and Elizabethtown. Historically, the race has attracted nearly 200 participants, their families, and spectators.
Small businesses and individuals are also encouraged to sponsor the event. “With the generous support of local businesses and individuals, we can keep event costs to a minimum allowing more of the funds raised to go directly to supporting the high-quality health care services provided at the hospital,” said Laura Sells-Doyle, president of the Elizabethtown Community Hospital Auxiliary. “Sponsorships are available for the start and finish lines, mile markers along the way, shuttle bus and more.”
The Elizabethtown Community Hospital Auxiliary raises funds that support patient care at the hospital. The group purchases thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment and related items for the hospital. It purchases magazine subscriptions for patients, awards scholarships, and stocks the hospital with necessities for patients who find themselves in the ER unexpectedly.
