Elizabethtown Community Hospital will host two heart health screenings later this month. The free screening events are scheduled from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26 at its Elizabethtown location at 75 Park Street and Thursday, February 29 at its Ticonderoga location at 101 Adirondack Drive. 

Free and open to the public, the screening events include:
 

• Cholesterol, A1C and blood pressure checks
• EKGs
• BMI assessments
• Information on smoking cessation and the importance of exercise
• Diabetes education

Julie Tromblee, MSN, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Elizabethtown Community Hospital, said “The goal of any screening is to identify risk factors early.  While you can’t prevent all forms of heart disease, you can manage your heart health with regular monitoring.”
