Elizabethtown, NY – The University of Vermont Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital will host a meet and greet event on Thursday, January 30 from 3:30 to 5:00 PM to welcome Brenda Beutel, Family Nurse Practitioner, to its care team at the Au Sable Forks Health Center. The event, which includes free blood pressure, cholesterol and A1c screenings, is open to the public.

“Brenda is an excellent addition to our community health center team. Her interest in women’s health and her whole-patient care approach is a wonderful complement to our primary care providers, and will help us continue to meet the health care needs of the Au Sable Forks community,” said Dr. Rob Demuro, medical director for primary care at the UVM Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital.  

In her new role, Ms. Beutel will draw from her many years as a critical care nurse and nurse manager, as well as her time as a school nurse for special needs children, to work with patients of all ages. Ms. Beutel is, “excited to join the dedicated health center team and get to know the Au Sable Forks community.”

Ms. Beutel is board-certified in family medicine by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is certified in critical care by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University, a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix, and a Post Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York.

Ms. Beutel is accepting new patients at the Au Sable Forks and Elizabethtown Community Health Centers.
