Critical Access Hospital
ECH is the only federally designated critical access hospital (CAH) north of Albany and east of Lake Ontario. In that capacity, ECH serves as a rural acute care manager, performing lifesaving services and coordinating the transfer of patients in need of additional and immediate care to other hospitals with which it has agreements in place.
High-quality Care Close to Home
Due to the remote nature of the region, the hospital and its specialty clinics allow residents to obtain high-quality care close to home. ECH employees work together to achieve the highest standard of care to patients when and where it is needed. We are not just caregivers and staff; we are your friends and neighbors.
